In the late 2000’s Boraie Development decided to partner with NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. O’Neal first helped Boraie launch the 22 story apartment building, The Aspire. His new goal is to partner with Boraie and produce Newark’s first high-rise in 50 years. It will tower at 33 stories, with over 350 units. Shaq plans to take up residence in the tower’s penthouse. Twenty percent of the complex will be made up of affordable units. It will feature over fifth-teen thousand square feet of commercial and retail space. The tower will have ten-thousand square feet of amenities featuring a pool, a lounge, and a roof deck.
