GCPS Foundation

Gwinnett County Public School system has started a foundation that is passionate about helping children succeed in creating a better future for the leaders of tomorrow .The foundation is named Gwinnett County Public Schools Foundation. The Gwinnett County Public Schools Foundation funds school scholarships, supports teaching and learning, has developed a leadership program and is growing rapidly throughout the community. The foundation’s goal is to be able to help over the 180,000 plus students who are within the Gwinnett Public County School System. The senior executive of the Gwinnett County public school system is Aaron C. Lupuloff.

Aaron Lupuloff is a longtime community advocate in Gwinnett County. Mr. Lupuloff is originally from Norcross and begin his community work at Norcross high school; in which he started a foundation for excellence. The Norcross High School Foundation supports academics, art, sports and provides immediate attention to parents and teachers in need. The foundation has been helping students and parents teachers for over two decades. Aaron C. Lupuloff has taken on many roles within the Norcross High School Foundation. He has sat as the President, Vice President and Treasurer. His experience working with the Norcross High School Foundation made him an expert and perfect candidate when it came to starting Gwinnett County Public School Foundation. The Gwinnett County Public School Foundation has small weekly meeting with your called whiteboard sessions. During these meetings all activist invited come together and brainstorm. Mr. Lupuloff believes It is important to ask everyone in the community for their opinion and not just focus on having individuals make a monetary donation. However, the majority of the money within the foundation goes towards funding scholarships for students who want to attend historically black colleges, some of the money goes toward paying for SAT testing and ACT testing. In some rare cases the foundation also pays for teachers to attend leadership conferences and robotic competitions.

According to usejournal.com, Mr. Lupuloff is also open about his entrepreneurial skills and business skills. He thinks that many people should look into becoming Angel Investors for middle school and high school students. The process is simple. People can reach out to individuals within their community, who have great ideas but they do not have the capital to fund the idea. For instance, he gives examples of individuals who goes on the television show “Shark Tank.” These individuals seek investments for a small percentage of their company.

Furthermore, Mr. Lupuloff’s daughter is well on her way to becoming a community activist and entrepreneur at such a young age. Mr. Aaron Lupuloff recently donated $500 to his daughter, Erika Lupuloff. Erika is a part of Georgia Tech’s “For the Kids” foundation and they raised over $322,000 for the Sibley Heart Institute At Children’s Hospital. We need more people like Mr.Lupuloff and his daughter all over the world.

Improving Lives with Aaron Lupuloff

Aaron Lupuloff is the Senior Executive Director of GCPS Foundation. The foundation provides fund scholarships, forward-thinking programs and so much more. It educates, encourages and embraces all of the students who attend the public schools in the community. GCPS is a diverse foundation. It allows its students to be able to work and study in an enriching environment and supply all of the equipment that’s needed so that they will one day be successful later in life.

Graduating from the University of Alabama, Aaron Lupuloff received a degree in Business Administration. With two decades of experience under his belt, Lupuloff was also a member of the management team for Bear Stearns/JP Morgan, a banking institute. He also was a managing director with Raymond Janes, a well-known investment bank and financial services company.

Since 1982, Aaron Lupuloff has worked in the financial service business. Alongside Lupuloff in business affairs, is his wife Jan. The both of them serve on the University of Georgia Student Board. They also support other organizations that are steadfast in helping improving lives and serving the communities around them.

There were six new honorees inducted into the Gwinnett County Sports Hall of Fame. University of Alabama coach, Nick Saban was the Inductee Keynote Speaker. One of the honorees was David Saville. Saville is a close friend of Aaron Lupuloff. He was recognized for his hard work and became inducted into the Gwinnett County Public Schools Hall of Fame May of 2019. David Saville graduated from Clemson University. Although he has Down syndrome, he does not allow that to stand in the way of what he believes in. David has great community strength and even he was recognized in such an honorable way from the foundation, he also earned recognition from the Walter Camp Football Foundation, which he received an American Hero Award.

In the late 2000’s Boraie Development decided to partner with NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. O’Neal first helped Boraie launch the 22 story apartment building, The Aspire. His new goal is to partner with Boraie and produce Newark’s first high-rise in 50 years. It will tower at 33 stories, with over 350 units. Shaq plans to take up residence in the tower’s penthouse. Twenty percent of the complex will be made up of affordable units. It will feature over fifth-teen thousand square feet of commercial and retail space. The tower will have ten-thousand square feet of amenities featuring a pool, a lounge, and a roof deck. Perry Mandera Gives Back to the Community He Grew Up In

Perry Mandera founded The Custom Companies, Inc. in February of 1986. Headquartered in Northlake, IL, The Custom Companies has officers throughout many American cities. Perry Mandera joined The United States Marine Corps Reserve in 1975, immediately after graduating from a Chicago high school. It was while in The Marines that Mandera learned to drive a truck. He received an Honorable Discharge from the Marines and returned to civilian life. Mandera worked for several different transportation companies before beginning his own company in 1980. That company was later sold in 1985, and then The Custom Companies was founded. Additionally from 1984-1988, Perry Mandera served as the Republican Ward Committeeman for the 26th Ward of Chicago. He was the youngest person to ever be elected to this position.

In addition to his business venture, Mandera has focused much of his energy on charitable ventures. Many of the charities Perry Mandera has worked with are focused on helping children and youth. In addition he has given time and money towards cancer care and protection. The company also provided relief to the victims of the hurricane which ravaged Washington, IL in 2013. Additionally, Mandera founded Custom Care Charities which supports charities whose missions align with Perry Mandera’s charitable goals. Mandera’s company has supported over 100 youth sports teams throughout Chicago and Illinois.
